My ideal clients are seeking timeless portraits which pack a punch. They want to look like themselves, not someone else. My goal is to embrace and celebrate your identity and unique story, whether you’re getting portraits alone, with loved ones, or if we’re creating imagery for your business. Your life, with all of its ups and downs is what makes you and your endeavours unique.

In a time where you can barely distinguish people apart from each other on social media, you’re looking to lean into what sets you apart, not hide behind current trends. Many of my clients book me in times of upheaval and change and it’s always an honour to not only capture the highlights of life, but to remember the times which challenge us and demand us to grow.

I like to consider my portrait sessions playful, creative and laid back. Many clients have described getting their portrait taken as a cathartic and rewarding experience. I look forward to hearing about your vision!

Creative Portraits

My Creative Portrait sessions are designed for individuals seeking bold and powerful images to commemorate significant moments in their lives. These sessions are experimental, playful, and deeply collaborative, allowing us to explore various facets of your personality and emotions. It's important to note that these portraits are intended for personal use and are not intended for business promotion. We can choose to shoot outdoors amidst the stunning landscapes of the Rocky Mountains or within the intimate setting of your home. Together, we'll get creative with wardrobe choices and delve into different moods, ensuring the final images authentically represent you. You can book this session solo or add on a friend, partner, or relative—think best friend sessions, couples portraits, or a sibling shoot. These sessions are about connection, self-expression, and capturing the spirit of who you are in this moment.

I offer two portrait packages: Bare Bones and Essential. The Bare Bones session is quick and impactful—perfect for those who want striking, no-fuss portraits in a short amount of time. The Essential session goes deeper, giving us more time to explore multiple sides of you. With more wardrobe options, varied settings, and a longer session, we can create a rich, layered collection of images that truly capture your complexity and evolution.

My Family Portrait Sessions are designed to capture the heart of your unique crew—whether it’s just the beginning with a newborn, the beautiful chaos of young kids, the evolving dynamics of teenagers, or marking a milestone like welcoming a stepparent or preserving the memory of grandparents. Families come in all shapes and sizes, and no matter what phase of life you're in, these sessions are about honouring your connections exactly as they are.

I believe family photos should be fun, not stiff or awkward. Kids (and adults!) should feel free to be themselves, which means I don't take myself too seriously—expect some silliness, movement, and lots of laughter. There’s no need for everyone to match perfectly or dress in neutral tones; I encourage families to embrace their individuality. Your outfits should reflect you—layers, textures, and personal touches that show off each person's personality.

During the session, I don’t just focus on the group as a whole—I take the time to capture the unique relationships within your family. Parent-child moments, siblings goofing around, grandparents sharing quiet wisdom—I want to document it all. We’ll do a mix of candid and lightly posed portraits to keep things feeling natural while ensuring we get a collection of images that are both timeless and true to who you are.

intimate elopements

After spending a decade photographing large weddings, I found myself drawn to the intimacy and authenticity of elopements. Then, I eloped myself—and everything clicked. I understood firsthand how powerful it is to create a wedding day that’s truly about you and your partner, without the distractions of a big celebration. That’s why I’ve chosen to focus on elopements, a journey that feels incredibly personal and meaningful to me.

Choosing your photographer is an intimate decision—after all, they’re the one who will be with you throughout your day. It’s important to pick someone you feel comfortable with, who understands your vision and can make the experience feel relaxed. I believe in capturing moments that matter, not forced, manufactured photos for Instagram. This day is about you two, your love, and your connection—not checking off a list of "perfect" shots. I’m here to document the real, raw moments—the quiet glances, the laughter between vows, the peaceful moments of just being together.

To put it simply, I’m a deeply romantic human and live to put people at ease. Getting your portrait taken on your wedding day should be fun and relaxed, not a production.

The Process

  • YOUR VISION

    If you’d like to proceed with me as your photographer, the first step is to discuss your vision. This is where we establish the intention behind your portrait session; how you want it to feel, and what it means to you. Think of this as the creative brainstorming stage where we ensure we’re on the same page.

    For this consultation, we can either chat over the phone, meet on a Zoom call, or grab a coffee or beer (my fav!)

  • BOOKING IN

    Once we’ve agreed on a date, time, and package, I’ll send over a proposal with a contract and invoice. After you sign and pay the deposit, your session is officially locked in, and we’re all set to go!

  • LOCATION SCOUTING

    I scout locations based on the shoot's vision, but I’m always open to suggestions! Having been a local to the valley for over 15 years, I have all the best spots in my back pocket.

    Sessions are typically scheduled in the late afternoon or early evening for the best light. If indoors, early afternoon is best. Sunrise sessions are also available.

  • SESSION TIME

    Most sessions are 2 hours long, give or take. This doesn’t include travel time to and from the location.

  • PREPARATION

    Once you have booked in, I will be sending you a checklist for your session as well as wardrobe suggestions and other tips to prepare! 

  • PHOTO DELIVERY

    After our session, I’ll deliver your photos in a password-protected online gallery, with both colour and black-and-white versions. You will be able to download your images in both web resolution and print resolution. All of your amazing portraits will be delivered in your gallery, you will not have to purchase additional photos, cause I think unexpected upselling is kinda bullshit.

  • NERVOUS?

    Feeling nervous? I’ll guide you throughout the session, helping you relax and have fun. It’s all about genuine moments and interaction.

    Expect posing direction, but I promise it will feel like hanging with a friend.
